A crisp November day and the turn out on Retford Square was a credit to the town. The sun shone as the dignitaries, military associations, local clubs, cadets, people young and old came together to remember the fallen. Our oldest veteran Ken Hoddy shared the stage with a youngster some 90 years or so separated the two but today they walked in unison as they lay their wreaths at the Cenotaph. A great atmosphere somewhat emotional as it always is but a joy to be alive in such good company and a bonus today that the sun shone on the proceedings from start to finish. Our thanks to Mylie who captured the event with some great images, a few of which are shown in the gallery “Remembrance_Day_2019”.
